I offer individual psychotherapy as a space for deep exploration and healing. Working from an anti-oppressive psychodynamic perspective, we will explore how past experiences shape current patterns of feeling, relating, and being. Together, we will be curious about unconscious dynamics that may be keeping you stuck, while honoring the resilience you've built along the way. My approach is anti-oppressive, meaning I hold awareness of how systemic forces — including race, class, gender, sexuality, religion and ability — intersect with personal struggles. Healing is not about "fixing" the self, but rather reclaiming your full humanity in a world that often denies it.
Couples and/or relationship therapy provides a space to navigate relational patterns that cause pain, disconnection, or misunderstanding. Drawing from psychodynamic and relational approaches, I support partners uncover the deeper emotional needs and histories that influence their interactions. Each romantic relation holds unique narratives, positions, and histories. Together, we endeavor towards exploring the dynamics that have resulted in feeling stuck, uncertain, fearful or a host of additional compromises. I utilize a framework that centers on mutual recognition, ensuring issues of power, culture, and identity are not pushed aside, but are invited in as vital elements of the relationship’s ecosystem.
I provide consultation to clinicians, community organizers, and organizations seeking support in integrating psychodynamic, relational, and anti-oppressive perspectives into their work. Whether you are navigating complex clinical cases, reflecting on your own positionality, or building more just working environments, I offer a collaborative process aimed at deepening insight and practice. Consultation is not one-size-fits-all; it is a reflective partnership designed to meet you where you are and grow with your goals.
I completed my doctorates in clinical psychology from George Washington University. I work in both a private practice and a community health center working between the Middle East and the US. I stumbled into the therapy room as an undergraduate who was interested in the role of culture, power, and the subliminal. Over time, I pursued trainings and formal education to hone my skills of working along the temporal dimension and against the grain. I deeply respect folks’ capacity to share, and to try and endeavor towards depth work and self-exploration.
